Croft’s Swiss Milk Cocoa
This bottle/jar has part of its paper label intact. The cap is also embossed with the company’s name.
The only info I could find that mentioned this product specifically is this:
Croft & Allen Company’s
33d and Market Streets, Philadelphia ![]()
“Chocolate, Cocoa and Confectionery Works. This fine group of buildings forms one of the most important industries of the city and the foremost in its line in America. It is a![]()
t 33d Street, extending from market Street to Woodland Avenue. It produces the famous Croft’s Swiss Milk Cocoa, etc. Samuel Croft, president.”

Today the Swiss Milk bottle was mailed to a gentleman in New Jersey who expressed interest in owning it.
I’m not a dealer, not even an avid collector so I am pleased that someone wanted it as it was just sitting up on my ledge with the other milk bottles we have. But we will keep this photo and blog entry in the Schenectady Virtual Bottle museum blog.
